Holiday Inn Roanoke Airport-Conference Ctr, an IHG Hotel

Rooms clean, beds comfy, staff friendly. The breakfast buffet was good. Hot food and variety. Jermaine was the chief cook and bottle washer. Please remember to tip.

The hotel has a mix of fresh new areas like the lobby and lounge area. Some areas of the hotel are in need of some upgrades like the carpets on each floor. The room I stayed in was pretty good for a night. Very close to the airport, perfect for catching an early flight.

Great hotel The staff is super friendly and helpful. They have a good bar and good breakfast. The rooms are clean and comfortable.

The rooms are nice and big. The restaurant/bar sucks save your money and go somewhere else to eat. 1. The food is cheap frozen crap at a high price, 2. You cannot use any of your rewards at this place in the motel they said the computers are not connected, 3. The service absolutely sucked, and way way over priced for what they call food.

Lately my experience in newer Holiday Inn Express hotels have been great. This one was great too. Nice clean rooms that were at an appropriate temperature. There is a Dunkin and a Starbucks outside so you ceb get your fix in the morning regardless of which one you prefer. Personally when I am on the road I run on Starbucks. Also, Brady’s Distillery is around the corner if you want to grab a nightcap before bed time.

Some staff were excellent, especially Melinda. Others were moody. Temperature in public areas was not moderated well. I had a late checkout and staff didn't read notes which led to more inconvenience for myself. As a regular traveler with Status at other hotel chains the experience was par. They were not equipped or stashed to handle the volume. They were fully booked the day prior and the rooms weren't ready for many people on time.

Bar in the lobby was the highlight of the night. Great for a business get together or just a beer or two before bed.

This review is for the Conference Center - Magnolia Room. We held a conference there this past weekend for over 100 physicians and department leadership. The room was very spacious and clean with more than enough tables, chairs, and linens available. The general manager, Chris Francisco, was a delight to work with and very responsive. He allowed us to set up the night before at no extra charge. He was always very helpful even trying to find a solution for the limited lighting options for the slide show. The overhead can lights were not on a dimmer, so the slides were a little difficult to see but the screen was large enough to make up for it. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful when we needed an extra extension cord and food containers for leftovers. Again, no extra charge. They were very engaged and wanted our event to be successful.
